Steven Riggs, Development Manager
Lowell Observatory is a research institution founded in 1894 by Percival Lowell. Its mission is to pursue the study of astronomy, especially the study of the solar system and its evolution; to conduct pure research in astronomical phenomena; and to maintain quality public education and outreach programs to bring the results of astronomical research to the general public.
The observatory is dynamically engaged to upgrade and advance the facilities in Flagstaff, Arizona in response to new scientific explorations and to serve the demand of interest by the public. Currently in an active capital campaign and like the discovery of a distant star, galaxy or planet, the addition of Major Gift Officer is a significant piece of a never ending puzzle of an expanding universe.
